How to join?

EUNITE is open to all legal entities established in the Member States of the European Union - e.g. industrial and commercial companies, SMEs, universities, research organisations, etc., who are active in the domain covered by the Network. The Network is also open to all legal entities established in any of the other States associated to the Programme (see Participation from non-EU countries in FP5 ).

Types of Nodes

There are two types of nodes in the network:

• Key Nodes are assigned to the committees (see Structure of EUNITE) and have the obligation to accomplish the tasks in the workpackages that the group is responsible for (defined in
  Annex1 of the contract). There is one leading Key Node per committee, that coordinates the work and the activities.
• Nodes participate in the events and receive information and services from the Network. A Node can apply to be upgraded as a Key Node and participate actively in the tasks of the workpackages.

How to become a member?

Every institution with goals and activities which are related to EUNITE can apply to become a Node or a Key Node. All Nodes are represented by contact persons. An applying Node or Key Node should

• complete the registration & application form
• download the A6 Form, complete it and return it by ordinary mail to the Service Center with an original signature; a guideline for completing the form can be found here

Key Node applications and upgrades from Nodes to Key Nodes are approved by the Steering Committee taking the advice of the relevant group under consideration. As industrial representation is important, a minimum ratio of 1:3 between industry and university is planned. You will be informed about the decision as soon as possible. In case of a positive decision, we will send you a membership agreement which has to be signed and returned.
